Initially, it was my grandmother’s dream to go on a mission trip, and although I’m unable to accompany her, I wanted to support the mission in my own way. My grandmother inspired me to begin supporting a cause that I now care deeply about.
With the help of my dad who developed this website, I am handing out my own custom-designed cards, and allocating 100% of all profits from our shop to an established nonprofit.
Additionally, creating this fundraiser has shown me how small actions can develop into meaningful differences in people’s lives. The reason why I deliberately chose to design and distribute cards is because they—no matter the occasion, whether it be for birthdays or anniversaries—enable people to connect, express emotions, and create a sense of belonging. However, a card’s real value isn’t what it says pre-printed on the front, but rather the personal message inside and the fact that someone cared enough to send it. The cards I’m issuing aren’t meant to be the final message, but rather an invitation for others to produce their own meaningful expression.
